"A classic American diner vibe with excellent service & sizeable portions. I'm a local to Dexter for two years & finally stopped at this Pleasant Hill Classic with some friends. One friend ordered a Mediterranean scramble and loved it, I got the Philly cheesesteak and it was delicious. The hot chocolates are MASSIVE! Be warned. The service was amazing and our waitress tended to us with speed and grace, even while training a new hire. The food is definitely soul food vibe && a sweet spot indeed."

"If you like a small hometown feel this is your kind of place. The staff are always friendly and go out of their way to accommodate. It is small inside and you sit close with other parties but for me that is part of the charm, it's not so disconnected. I guarantee the people who go back for a second time or who are regulars enjoy the cozy almost home like feel. This is not a fancy place but is far far more than an expensive upscale restaurant could ever be to me. It is what I grew up with and what is getting more and more rare the personal human interaction without all of the other stuff in the way. I thank every staff member who I have interacted with there for just being you."

"This little diner is a gem! We love to visit for breakfast. The food is always quality, service is wonderful. We have never had a bad meal and love to try new things. My daughter loves the biscuits & gravy and waffles. Steak or ham are both great options. We like the build your own omelet or meal options as well. The loaded hashbrowns are delish! And the homefries are good too!"

"Very comfortable place for breakfast. Friendly staff. And relaxed low key atmosphere. Tasty home fries and eggs Benedict for me. More Hollandaise would be even better . I like how the Sunrise has a collection of coffee mugs; each one different. They offer a breakfast special that's a good value."

"Cozy local brunch spot where the servers know their repeat patrons by name. We ordered the Loaded Haystack and the Northwest skillet and watched the chef cook it fresh. Satisfying portion sizes and consistently good flavor. Very reasonable prices"

"Great little stop on Highway 58, in Pleasant Hill. Enjoy a small-town diner feel, with friendly wait staff. The meals are nicely portioned and very yummy. The Biscuits and Gravy were scrumptious along with a nice German Sausage. Looking forward to stopping by again."
